Associate Director
Des Allen began his career in the insurance and reinsurance industry over 34 years ago, joining a Lloyd’s Syndicate in 1974.
Commencing work as an underwriters assistant, he transferred to claims examining early in his career and has been responsible for the handling of a broad range of claims, including from the perspective of Executive Director for a reinsurance broking firm.
That experience has been utilised as a third-party consultant, conducting inspections and claim reviews in the U.S.A., the U.K. and Europe. Since joining Cranmore in 2003, his work has had a particular emphasis on conducting binding authority, third party administrator and managing general agent reviews.
Job Summary
Commenced work in Lloyd’s, working for Harvey Bowring & Ors., then joined J.H. Minet in 1984. He joined a third-party consultancy firm in 1995 and became an Associate Director of Cranmore in 2003.
